9:30 - Hungarian-Slovakian border at Somoskőújfalu is opened, trucks over 7.5 t MPW can enter Slovakia again.

23:00 - The restriction introduced at Balassagyarmat (Hungarian border) on Thursday afternoon has been lifted: trucks over 7.5 t MPW can enter Slovakia.
Slovakian carriers continue the demonstration on Friday. From 8 am to 8 pm on January 10, 2020, a congestion is expected near the Medveďov border crossing - informed the Slovak authorities.
On Tuesday, the Union of Slovakia's Road Hauliers (UNAS) launched events in the capital to raise awareness of the deterioration of the business environment for hauliers and the high toll.
As previously announced, if their claims are not met, they will strike outside of Bratislava in Orava and Košice, but they are ready to announce a national strike. Around 60 truck and bus drivers protested on Tuesday in the Slovak-Polish border zone in Orava. On Thursday evening, about 240 trucks had already been lost due to freight strikes on the R4 road near Kosice.
According to the Slovakian police community site, striking carriers will block at several border crossings in Slovakia, including Komárno and Medveďov on Friday from 8am to 8pm. Whether full or partial blockade is to be expected has not been disclosed by police.
